Lanham, MD — The National Asphalt Pavement Association announced the speaker lineup for its Midyear Meeting, being held July 26-28, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The program is designed to deliver valuable educational and networking events to the asphalt industry. The schedule includes timely plenary sessions designed to provide attendees with takeaways that will help them grow their market. The NAPA committee meetings are scheduled to take place as well.
NAPA Chairman Larry Lemon will speak on “Return on Your NAPA Investment.” In this can’t-miss presentation, Lemon will talk about advances that have been made in asphalt industry programs since January 2010, when he began his chairmanship. The final plenary session will focus on the surface transportation reauthorization bill. Top Washington insiders representing business and labor will give an insightful assessment and outlook on Congress enacting the bill. Attendees will get the very latest legislative update and market outlook that will help calibrate their business plan for the rest of 2010 and into 2011.
An optional reception and dinner is planned to celebrate the reopening of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History’s transportation exhibition, America on the Move. Attendees will receive an exclusive tour of the unique transportation section and will also have access to the new "Star Spangled Banner" exhibition in Flag Hall. |
